The body’s extremities always feel the cold the most, so the primary function of the ZONE3 open water Swimming Gloves is to keep your hands insulated from the cold making off season and chilly swims more manageable

After testing most swimming gloves on the market, we found that they nearly all started ballooning with water during swimming and started to slip off the hands. A design solution was found by increasing the length of the gloves, so they can be tucked over or under the wetsuit, ensuring there was no exposed skin and adding a hook and loop fastening to keep the glove in place.

Great bit of winter kit

"Nice fit with good length in the fingers so don’t feel restrictive. Adjustable wrist strap is easy to use too. These offer some nice insulation in colder water but if you suffer from reduced circulation I’d recommend looking at the thinker gloves. I’ve mainly used these for swimming but they come in very handy for kayaking and SUP’ing too. Easy to order with fast delivery. Great service as always."

"Wore these for the first time today and felt a definite difference! I got size M as per the chart and it seemed a little roomy on but was fine in the water. Really helping me to last longer in the water and get in a longer swim as the temperatures drop. Q&A

Are these 5mm thickness?
Our Neoprene gloves are 2mm, the Heat Tech variety are 3.5mm
Under or over suit sleeve? Over is obviously easier to get on and off, but does wearing the glove under the wetsuit sleeve reduce water ingress? What is the intentes way of wearing the gloves?
You may find that wearing the gloves under the sleeve reduces the volume of water ingress, but it can often come down to individual preference as to what feels the most comfortable for you.
It’s the same as a previous question. The gloves immediately filled with water so I didn’t get any protection from the cold.
From the issue you are describing, this sounds as though you would be more suited to a smaller size. Our gloves are designed to be close fitting and should not be allowing excessive water ingress. ==========Publish the review - Type yes/no==========
Can you see your watch with the gloves on
The wrist part of the gloves is likely to cover the majority of watch positions, so you could wear your watch over the gloves to ensure a more comfortable fit.
I'm right on the upper edge of small and lower of medium. Am I right in thinking you're better off with a smaller size so they don't balloon/slip off?
We'd recommend choosing the smaller size if you're between sizes to ensure a closer fit
